Tweets of the Week: 3/17/10

My office is near the St. Patrick’s Day parade (in NYC) so I’m not in a good mood but here are your Tweets of the Week.

This is how you teach WWII to kids these days http://bit.ly/cb9rO7 | I thought this was brilliant and I personally learned a thing or two about WWII. For example I didn’t know Haiti was involved (I got to look that up when I get the time). I wished my history teachers were as creative as college humor. I aced history but not my friends (who are usually dead asleep in that class).

In Hard Times, Lured Into Trade School and Debt http://nyti.ms/a7tGIR | This is unfortunate but people have to understand there are no shortcuts in life. I am always suspicious about for profit schools and you really have to do the research before you commit.

8 Outrageous Frauds involving online degrees http://bit.ly/9H9Sa5 | While you are at it, watch out for these too.

15 Noteworthy Websites That Changed the Internet http://bit.ly/98ZItl | I have used all these sites at one point or another. Right now, I don’t know what I would do without wikipedia, twitter and google.

Student Suspended Even After She Said No to Drugs http://bit.ly/bVMETt | This is when zero tolerance goes horribly wrong. Screwed if you do and screwed if you don’t.

Why do the Dept of Education Need 27 Short-Barreled Shotguns? http://bit.ly/aLya4t | Offered without comment.

As always you can follow me at my twitters accounts @gmatlinks and @satlinks.
